Leaving a legacy

by Lora Starling | Dec 11, 2020 | ARTICLE, Logo truths

I enjoyed a session some years ago with Dawn Eagle woman, healer, facilitator and mentor.

So when I saw her included in a timely documentary ‘Time of the Sixth Sun,’ a film about the shift in global consciousness, I took note of what she said and I loved its relevance to the work I do.

She shared about a time when she died (for a bit) and went into the golden light where she saw the spirit of her father walking towards her. It was particularly moving as he had been wheelchair-bound in his life.

After they embraced, she noticed many lights behind her father and asked what they were, he replied they were her ancestors saying ‘you are the living hope of all your ancestors’

Each of us is the living hope of our ancestors, and one day we will join them.

The best gift we can give to our ancestors is to completely be ourselves so we may express their legacy fully. And what legacy will we leave? Why would we want to? I have heard that one of the regrets of the dying is not what they have done but what they have not done. Wouldn’t it be good to extend this doing beyond our lifetime?

The best gift we can give ourselves is to express our true selves and share that while we can in our lifetime.

When we clarify our vision, detailing our purpose from deep within ourselves and then express that to others experiencing their human journey, we can create shifts that change our lives as well as the lives of others and the future of the world.

When we express our vision in a logo, detailed in every aspect including the colour, symbols, name and strapline we not only expedite this sharing, we leave a design, embedded with our vision, that will live on long after we are gone.
