The Metal Element
The Metal Element is associated with the season of autumn, the colour white and the emotion of grief, and connects us with the heavens and our Heavenly Father. The two Officials in the Metal Element are the Lung and Colon, responsible for the natural flow within us by enabling us to take in the new (air, ideas, and spirit) and eliminate the old (body, mental, and spiritual waste).
This Element represents our connection with spirit from the divine spark in the heavens above helping us find the essence of the ‘guru’ inside ourselves.
If our Metal Element is in good order, we will be strong in spirit and enjoy a deep respect for people and nature. We can let go of what is past and no longer serves us and move on. If this Element is weak, we will lack wisdom and guidance, we may experience worthlessness, emptiness and grief, and look outside ourselves for a guru or someone to lead.
The Metal Element invites you to look where you might be holding tightly onto things you need to let go of, or perhaps you are eliminating them indiscriminately without relevant consideration or appropriate grieving for the loss.
