The Heart Official
The Heart is one of the Twelve Officials, one of four Officials belonging to the Fire Element and paired with the Small Intestine. Also known as the Supreme Controller, the Heart Official is like the ruler of a kingdom and is responsible for setting the limits and boundaries for all the other Officials to maintain order and harmony. All the Officials look to the Heart for guidance. With the power of life and death, when the Heart is happy and contented, then the other Officials are the same. The Official of the Heart uses the power of love, compassion and benevolence, which is returned like the flow of blood from the heart to every part of our bodies and back to the heart.
When the Heart is out of balance, all the other Officials will be out of control.
The Heart Official asks you to look at where you are running your life without love. How are you treating those around you, those in your day-to-day life, or others who affect your life, even adversely? Are you taking care of your heart at a physical level – eating and exercising sensibly? Are you making decisions about your limits and boundaries, and communicating these with compassion?
