The Bladder Official

The Bladder is one of the Twelve Officials. Paired with the Kidney Official it is associated with the Water Element and is also known as the Official responsible for the Storage of Water including the balance, distribution, flow and waste. Water links us to our strengths, our endurance, our ambitions, and our will. The Bladder Official brings fluid and movement to our heartbeat, mind, thoughts, and emotions. Our ideas, like seeds, need water for growth. The Bladder allows things to flourish in a balanced way and enables all the other Officials to move more freely. When this Official is happy, we feel safe and connected with reality, we feel fearless, sane and trusting.

The fluid imbalance in nature is apparent in floods and droughts.
