High Force Falls

High Force is a spectacularly powerful waterfall in County Durham in the UK.  Large rocks contain the water’s thundering journey downwards to the dark large pool below. They force the flow of the river into powerful forms that shape it, transformed and prepared for the remainder of its journey.

Many of the rocks appear to have ancient faces, wise ones full of knowledge that imparts itself to the water, briefly, but powerfully in the instance of connection.

When the power in us runs amok, uncontrolled, it dissipates or becomes out of hand. The rocks are like the wise ones in our lives, the elders, who guide us with a bounded power, stirring us to a powerful, authentic path so we might be seen in our effective truth authentically and honestly.
