The Wood Element
One of the Five Elements, the Wood Element is associated with energy that is rising, the spring season, and the colour green. Two Officials, the Liver and the Gallbladder, are associated with this Element. Wood energy grants us the power of birth, new beginnings, and growth, and can also be changeable, volatile, and unpredictable.
The Wood Element gives us structure, order, and purpose, helping us to create, plan and develop new ideas, set goals, and take decisions – like trees and plants that follow their plans to grow and ripen in the right place at the right time.
Through the Wood Element, our spirit has the power to rise and grow to new levels.
Imbalances can lead to us being inflexible and fixed; alternatively, we can be chasing a distant goal or target and never slowing down to enjoy the journey. Our mind might be rigid, or we can ramble aimlessly.
The Wood Element asks you to look at where you can either be more flexible or tighten up and make a stand. Where is your sense of hope and purpose? How are you fulfilling it?
