The Taster
The Taster is at the entry point where we take in nourishment before we swallow informing us of its structure, content, and quality through the tongue. At this point we can still decide whether we want to accept it and swallow.
Whatever we take into our lives, we can taste it first before we commit to sending it to our digestive system to nourish our body, mind, and spirit.
It is no coincidence that we talk about our taste in people, friends, and fashion as well as our food. We live in a commercial world where our tastes are managed for us. Taste each new thing before choosing whether to ingest it. Chew it over and then, if it tastes good, swallow, confident in the knowledge that the Taster has thoroughly checked it out first.
Pay attention to what you may digest. Will it nourish your life or artificially boost you temporarily? What you are putting into your mouth will become part of you. Remember to taste the differences and savour the moment.
Is there something that, if you had fully tasted first, you may have spat out? What are you considering swallowing at the moment? Chew it over. How does it taste? Will it nourish you at a body, mind and spirit level, or should you spit it out?
